Nourishing the Practitioner as well as the Practice
A strategy for Personal and Financial Growth!
Having worked in clinical practice since 2010 across a variety of settings and having established a successful practice, Marianne understands all the trials and tribulations that being in practice can bring. From how to find new patients, dealing with ethical issues, tricky situations, establishing work life balance and more! It’s way more than about actually knowing what to do clinically!
For this reason Marianne has trained as a Supervisor and Mentor and is a member of the Supervision and Mentoring Network and co-ordinator of the supervision programme on behalf of the Association of Acupuncture Clinicians.
Marianne offers 1:1 and group supervision for acupuncturists and other complementary therapists. Read more about this HERE.

Practice Growth Strategy:
Marianne knows what it takes to create a thriving practice and remembers what it’s like to be just starting out, ready with your clinical skills but no idea how to get the word out, how to navigate the options around where to practice, how to price yourself, how to create consistent and growing income.
You should not be struggling to get by, lurching from month to month wondering how to afford equipment. The aim is a practice that enriches you emotionally and financially whilst doing what you love and serving others and still be able to take a holiday and spend time with your loved ones when needed. For this reason she has created a budget friendly package of downloadable and short courses available to new practitioners, be it acupuncture or other complementary therapy practices.

Supervision & Mentoring
About: Supervision is essential reflective practice designed to empower and nourish practitioners like you. It provides a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment where you can process you patient-practitioner challenges, focus on your professional development and discuss all things relating to your clinical practice. It’s a space to share, feel held and supported and nourished, where you come away feeling refreshed and invigorated, able to move forward. It’s a space where you feel safe to bring your troubles and triumphs, where you can grow personally and professionally allowing you to feel resourced and not burnt out.
Why it matters to be in Supervision: acupuncture and most complementary therapies operate in an unregulated environment. And yet we are trusted with holding our patients health and well-being in our hands. We often hear and deal with complex issues. We need to ensure we remain balanced and supported so we are healthy in all aspects of how we conduct ourselves. We are always impacted by what is going on in our own lives. It is without doubt, best practice to be in supervision. And it all counts towards CPD requirements. Those who engage in regular supervision are more likely to thrive in their practice, and feel fulfilled as they progress on their chosen path.
Group supervision: most acupuncturists and complementary therapists work by themselves. This can lead to isolation and a sense of disconnect. Coming together in group supervision allows you to be amongst like-minded individuals who talk your language and share your vision. The bond and sense of community, mutual support and of being held is invaluable. You don’t have to do this alone.
1:1, if you’re new to supervision or have an issue that’s more pressing in nature, or are unsure about being in a group, 1:1 might be the way forward for you. Please reach out to set up a no-committment chat to see if working with Marianne is the right way for you.
